Abstract

The present study analyzes the influence of artistic weavings on the development of soft skills within the Casa de la Cultura Núcleo de Chimborazo, a key environment for socio-inclusive intervention in Ecuador. The importance of the research lies in validating art as a learning mechanism that facilitates the development of social and emotional interactions. The objective was to determine the relationship between creative participation and the strengthening of assertiveness and empathy in young people. To this end, a quantitative, post-positivist, and correlational methodology was applied with a census population of 194 users. The main result revealed a positive and significant correlation between the frequency of attendance and the increase in conversational skills ($r = .62$; $p < .01$). Furthermore, it was observed that 51.5% of the participants maintain high attendance, which translates into superior levels of interpersonal problem-solving compared to those who attend sporadically. It is concluded that artistic intervention reduces aggressive and passive communication patterns, consolidating the institution as a safe space that enhances social cohesion through a measurable improvement in the social performance of the users belonging to this cultural community.
