Actitudes hacia la discapacidad como predictor de la autoeficacia docente en educación superior ecuatoriana

El objetivo fue examinar la relación entre las actitudes hacia la discapacidad y la autoeficacia docente para la inclusión en una muestra de 120 profesores de tres universidades de la región Costa del Ecuador. Se empleó un diseño cuantitativo, no experimental, transversal y correlacional-predictivo. Los participantes respondieron la Escala de Actitudes hacia las Personas con Discapacidad y la Teacher Efficacy for Inclusive Practice. Los datos se analizaron mediante correlaciones de Spearman, regresión lineal con intervalos de confianza bootstrap BCa y pruebas no paramétricas de comparación entre grupos. Los resultados mostraron una relación positiva y estadísticamente significativa entre las actitudes hacia la discapacidad y la autoeficacia docente (ρ = .589, p < .001). Asimismo, las actitudes explicaron el 41.9 % de la varianza de la autoeficacia docente (R² = .419). No se encontraron diferencias significativas según el sexo, la edad o la experiencia docente. Sin embargo, la formación en educación inclusiva se asoció con mayores niveles de autoeficacia, mientras que los docentes con contrato ocasional presentaron puntuaciones superiores en ambas variables. Los hallazgos sugirieron que la inclusión universitaria debía abordarse no solo desde las políticas institucionales y la disponibilidad de recursos, sino también desde las actitudes, creencias y percepciones de competencia del profesorado.
