Actividades educativas para mejorar atención y concentración en Educación Inicial, revisión sistemática

Resumen

La atención sostenida y la concentración son habilidades esenciales en Educación Inicial, en virtud de que permiten a los niños y niñas mantener el foco en una actividad, seguir instrucciones, regular impulsos y participar activamente en experiencias de aprendizaje. El objetivo de esta revisión sistemática fue analizar la efectividad de las actividades educativas estructuradas orientadas al fortalecimiento de la atención sostenida en la población infantil de 3 a 5 años. La búsqueda bibliográfica se realizó en Scopus, PubMed, Web of Science, SciELO y Google Académico, considerando artículos de acceso abierto publicados entre 2021 y 2026, bajo criterios de selección orientados por la estrategia PICO y el flujo PRISMA 2020. Se incluyeron treinta estudios relacionados con juego estructurado, lectura dialógica, mindfulness, yoga, actividad física, aprendizaje motor, danza, música y estrategias de autorregulación. Los hallazgos indican que las actividades educativas estructuradas contribuyen al fortalecimiento de habilidades relacionadas con la atención sostenida y la concentración, principalmente cuando se desarrollan con acompañamiento docente, normas comprensibles, participación activa, experiencias motrices, regulación emocional y retos cognitivos ajustados al nivel madurativo de los niños. Cabe resaltar que los resultados no fueron completamente uniformes, en virtud de las diferencias metodológicas entre los estudios, los instrumentos empleados, el tiempo de aplicación y la intensidad de las intervenciones. Por consiguiente, se establece que estas actividades representan una alternativa pedagógica pertinente para Educación Inicial, siempre que sean planificadas de manera sistemática, sostenidas en el tiempo, metodológicamente adecuadas y adaptadas a las características del desarrollo infantil.
