Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine and synthesize the available evidence on the relationship between Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Organizational Commitment (OC) within the hotel industry. The main objective is to understand how CSR initiatives specifically influence employees’ levels of commitment and loyalty. The analysis was conducted through a systematic review following the PRISMA protocol (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses). The databases consulted were SciELO, Redalyc, and Google Scholar, covering studies published between 2019 and 2024. Articles that empirically analyzed the relationship between CSR and OC were selected, particularly those focused on the Mexican Caribbean, while studies outside this geographic area were excluded. The findings reveal that CSR is a key determinant of organizational commitment, influencing employees’ emotional attachment and sense of belonging. Moreover, the review identified that most studies focus on managerial-level perceptions and primarily examine the affective dimension of commitment.
