Abstract

Introduction: The "Hollywood smile" design represents a contemporary aesthetic paradigm that transcends traditional dentistry, integrating principles of facial harmony, golden proportion, and dentolabial symmetry. Its planning and execution require a collaborative approach between facial plastic surgery, aesthetic dentistry, and psychology. Objective: To conduct a comprehensive literature review to analyze the scientific foundations, digital planning tools, and psychosocial outcomes associated with high-impact smile design. Methodology: A systematic search was conducted in databases (PubMed, Scopus, SciELO) for articles published between 2015-2024, using key terms: "smile design", "facial aesthetic surgery", "digital smile design", "multidisciplinary approach", "self-esteem". Results: Current evidence supports the integration of facial aesthetic surgery (e.g., lipofilling, lip lift) to optimize the smile framework. Digital Smile Design (DSD) improves predictability and interdisciplinary communication. A positive correlation is reported between smile harmonization and improvements in self-esteem and quality of life. Conclusion: The "Hollywood by CIROI" model, based on the reviewed literature, proposes an interdisciplinary protocol that combines digital technology, facial aesthetic principles, and a patient-centered approach focused on psychosocial well-being.
