This research aims to determine the progress of Alfred Marshall's theory of Industrial Districts through a historical review in Latin America, using literature analysis and the Delphi method. A panel of experts was selected from the Scopus database using keywords related to studies of industrial districts from the perspective of Alfred Marshall's theory and within the Latin American context. The results indicate that the experts recognize significant progress in Latin America thanks to the application of Alfred Marshall's theory. His focus on business collaboration, geographic proximity, and the formation of industrial districts has notably boosted regional economic development. However, significant challenges remain, such as adapting these principles to the specific realities of each country, especially in key sectors like manufacturing and tourism. It is essential to continue applying and adapting Marshall's theory to harness its potential and foster economic growth and development in the region.
