Estrategias educativas de enfermería para mejorar adherencia a tratamiento y autocuidado en hipertensión arterial en atención primaria

Resumen

La hipertensión arterial representa uno de los principales factores de riesgo de enfermedad cardiovascular y mortalidad prematura a nivel mundial, lo que exige fortalecer estrategias de control desde la atención primaria. El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar la evidencia reciente sobre estrategias educativas de enfermería orientadas a mejorar la adherencia al tratamiento y el autocuidado en personas con hipertensión arterial. Se realizó una revisión sistemática siguiendo lineamientos PRISMA, mediante búsqueda en bases de datos como PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, CINAHL, Cochrane Library y LILACS. Se incluyeron estudios publicados entre 2020 y 2025 que evaluaron intervenciones educativas lideradas por enfermería en atención primaria. Tras aplicar criterios de selección y evaluación metodológica, se incluyeron 20 artículos para la síntesis de resultados. Los hallazgos evidenciaron que las intervenciones educativas estructuradas, combinadas con automonitoreo de presión arterial, seguimiento continuo y estrategias conductuales, mejoran la adherencia terapéutica y fortalecen el autocuidado, con efectos favorables en el control de la presión arterial. Se concluye que la enfermería desempeña un rol clave en la implementación de programas educativos sostenibles en atención primaria para el manejo integral de la hipertensión arterial.
