This study analyzes the role of podcasts as a digital communication format and their use within the contemporary online environment. Considering the sustained growth of this type of audio content, the research focuses on understanding how podcasts function as spaces for discursive production, information dissemination, and the construction of specific audiences. The study adopts a qualitative approach, supported by a review of academic literature and the analysis of representative cases within the digital field.
Throughout the study, the main characteristics of podcasts, their distribution methods, and the communicative practices that develop around this format are examined. In addition, aspects such as the relationship between content creators and audiences, the adaptation of content to the online context, and the expressive possibilities offered by audio in comparison with other digital formats are considered. The results show that podcasts not only operate as an alternative medium of communication, but also as a tool that strengthens connections with specific audiences and expands patterns of information consumption.
In conclusion, podcasts have become a relevant resource within the digital environment due to their narrative flexibility and their capacity to adapt to different topics and audiences. These findings provide useful insights for understanding the impact of podcasts on contemporary digital communication and open new avenues for analysis in future studies in this field.
