Dengue is a major vector-borne viral disease and a public health issue, particularly in communities where conditions favoring the presence of *Aedes aegypti* persist. Health education is a key strategy for enhancing knowledge and promoting practices aimed at vector prevention and control. The objective of this review was to evaluate the effectiveness of educational interventions targeting dengue prevention in communities in Manabí. A descriptive systematic and documentary review was conducted by searching for scientific publications from the 2021–2026 period across PubMed, Scopus, SciELO, Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, Dialnet, and Redalyc. Studies related to dengue, health education, educational interventions, and vector prevention and control were included. The results revealed variations in dengue-related knowledge levels, with adequate knowledge rates ranging from 24.6% to 87.8%. Identified interventions included school-based educational programs, talks, community sessions, participatory methods, and educational materials. Reported effectiveness ranged from 75% to 96.42%, with improvements in knowledge and preventive practices observed following the interventions. In conclusion, the reviewed evidence indicates that educational interventions can help strengthen knowledge and practices regarding dengue prevention; therefore, their implementation should take into account the specific characteristics and needs of each community.
