Abstract

Psychosocial risks are a determining factor in the occupational health of workers in the transport sector, particularly in contexts characterized by high mental demands, constant responsibility, and demanding working conditions. In interprovincial passenger transport at the “La Maná” cooperative, these conditions are reflected in long working hours, pressure to meet schedules, limited physical and mental recovery, and complex work dynamics, increasing workers' vulnerability to adverse health outcomes.

This study aimed to analyze the influence of psychosocial risks on workers’ occupational health using a quantitative approach with a descriptive–correlational and cross-sectional design. Data were collected through structured surveys and direct observation, assessing variables such as workload, perceived stress, interpersonal relationships, and organizational support. The analysis revealed significant associations between exposure to psychosocial factors and occupational health status.

The results indicate a high prevalence of work-related stress, fatigue, and emotional exhaustion, manifested in symptoms such as anxiety, sleep disturbances, and decreased work performance. It is concluded that psychosocial risk management is essential to ensure safe and healthy working conditions, recommending the implementation of preventive strategies, active breaks, and the strengthening of organizational climate.Principio del formularioFinal del formulario
